Amidst financial and ecological crises, food shortages and conflicts, capable institutions are needed now more than ever to deliver against 21st century development challenges. Against this backdrop, the ‘Capacity is Development’ Global Event sought to explore the ‘ingredients’ that enable institutions to perform better, to do so consistently over time and to manage change. To do so, more than 160 leaders, thinkers and development practitioners met in Morocco to share their views and experiences on what has worked to strengthen the capacity of people and institutions in their countries.
